hi guys
with the new version (2.51) how does one edit the page slug for any given page? i can't find that option anywhere here on the [edit page] page.
i see this in the page source:
<div id="pageslugdiv" class="postbox if-js-closed">
<h3>Page Slug</h3>
<div class="inside">
<input name="post_name" type="text" size="13" id="post_name" value="choose-the-type-of-property-you-want" />
</div>
</div>
but there's nothing called "Page Slug" on my [edit page] page! h
what am i missing?
thanks for any help.
sarah

is your post saved? - mine doesn't seem to require that, but I'm asking anyway.
What format of permalinks are you using?
ohhhh see that's an excellent question - I guess you can't have slugs if you can't have slugs.
I should have thought to ask that, thanks iridiax.
hey
i'm set to default permas.
did the upgrade from the prev version make a change i don't know about?

The default permalinks don't use the slugs, so you don't need to see them.
When you set your permalinks to something different than the default - they will appear.
thanks guys --
i changed to the day/month type of permalinks and i have the page-name/slug option again.

Don't pages create slugs anyway? On a site I'm currently working on, they do, even though I hadn't fiddled with the permalink settings yet.
