[resolved] How to edit comments file (7 posts)

    Hello,

I am trying to style the comments area that shows up below each post. I'm aware that the code resides in the comments.php file. However, I can't seem to style anything.

I've wrapped the comments.php with a div, inserted classes, and styled in css, but absolutely nothing is moving.

Where is the coding for author, date, and comments reside? Where does the coding for name, email, website, and comment boxes reside?

I've been stuck on this all day. Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Try using Firefox with the Firebug add-on for this kind of CSS work.

I am using firebug. I still can't seem to figure this out. I'm trying to style simple codes like h3, vcard, p, ol li, comments-meta, within a #comments div and nothing is working. Nothing.

I've never had a problem styling comments, so I can only assume that there's something wrong with your CSS selectors.

Wow. I can't believe this. I spent most of the day trying to solve this. And the problem was in the CSS. Thank you esmi for pointing this out to me. Sorry for bothering you. So disappointed in myself. Again thank you.

No problem. We all have days when we can't see the wood for the trees. :-)
