[resolved] How to edit a permalinked post? (4 posts)

Before permalinks, it was easy to find the post number and track it down for editing (I use Manage Me, one the of the great plug-ins). Plus, I have removed the "Edit this" link from my templates because I thought it was a blot on the landscape.

With permalinks, the post could be anywhere in the "Manage Posts" lists and there is only the date to track it down (which is better than nothing).

Is there an easier way/plug-in to help find a permalinked post for editing?

You could search for keywords within the Dashboard -> Manage -> Posts page.

If you're using the edit_post_link() function (like the default theme does), then only people actually logged in and capable of editing that post will see the link. And generally only the author of the post is capable of editing it. Regular readers will never see the Edit link.

"only people actually logged in will see the ["Edit This"] link"
That's neat; I'll put the link back.

I'd still like to find a dashboard-type way to find the artcile, but thank you that advice.
