how to downgrade WP 2.6 -> WP 2.5.1

    Hello
    I recently upgraded to WP 2.6.

    Now some important plugins do not work properly any longer.
    Lightbox 2.7.7
    Smart Sort 1.0

    And some Javascript parts of my Theme HemingwayEx do not work eighter.

    I do not want to wait until new versions of these plugins come out.
    How can I downgrade back to WP 2.5.1 ?

    Delete everything, set up 2.5 and put back 2.5.1 database backup?

    There’s quite a few threads with the same question. Perhaps somebody found something smart.
