I’ve seen all kinds of event calenders and stuff, but none of them to my liking. Is there any plugin/widget/whatever that makes possible the following:

1- When I write an article I want to be able to give two dates; the first is the date of publishing (today), the second the date the article relates to (like: in two weeks time, march 30th, the national theater…)

2- The visitor of the site should then be able to select a date (from any calender) to see all posts that relate to the selected date.

It’s sort of like an event calender where the reader can say I want to see all events happening on april 5th (or juni 21st).

Which plugin or hack makes this possible?

If you don’t find a plugin that can do this, you could probably use tags and accomplish the same thing; if you tagged articles with a specific date or event, you could then list and search them by tag. (There are plenty of plugins for doing that.)

It’s not optimal, but it might work.
