Hi, I would like to display the User’s role on author page.

I’ve searched and can’t find a way to do it…

    Thanks for your help!

  • Hi Alkorr,

I’m not sure this can be fully done, can you please explain what you are ultimately trying to do? (i.e. more details)

    Thanks.

Hi Timothy! Sure, for example, I would like to show on Jenny’s author page her role:

Jenny is a Contributor on this site.

    Or

Karl is an Author on this site.

I thought it could be simple but I’ve searched everywhere and couldn’t find a way to display this information…

    Hi Alkorr,

I see what you want to do.
There may be a way to ‘pull’ this information into it but not to my personal knowledge.

If you have author boxes on the website I suggest that you add the first line (as you have put above) into their ‘Bio’ and it should show up in the author box.
Hopefully you don’t have too many bloggers!

Give me a shout if that wouldn’t work for you.

I see, the only way would be to do it manually then.

But the author page is a template, the same for all users.

So there’s no solution I’m afraid… But thanks for your suggestion Timothy 😉

There may be a way to get this but I would suggest that as an interim solution unless anyone on here is able to advise.

    Thanks,
    Tim

PS – Don’t forget to mark this as ‘resolved’ if you are happy!
