   How to Display Popular Posts On a Non-WordPress Page?

   For example my wordpress directory is located in

   http://mysite.com/wordpress

   then i want to display the popular post this week in
   http://mysite.com

   even i have the same question , may be we can write our own code in php querying the tables for the latest post in all the post tables in the word press database
