How to display links categories like post categories
I would like to display link categories like post categories at side bar. Once user click the link categories, it will go a page list all links within that category.
Is there a plugins available already ?
Your workaround is to have static pages which categorise sets of links - for instance a category called "I hate Vista"
Your page would be called "I hate Vista" and in that page you would have over a million links to topics related to "I hate Vista".
In your sidebar you could then place a link to that page.

workarounds like this are what make people move to things like Expression Engine for true content management.
I would like to do something similar to mihu, that is have a page template that displays the links from a certain link category dynamically, i.e. a directory. Would also want a main page that displays all of the link categories as links to the respective pages with links, dynamically. If I wanted to create pages with links I could just use a static html site. I have posted a request for help here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/198227

There is some similar capability I found out a while back. Check the default template come with latest wordpress. You can select "page template".
