   <img src="images/pixel.gif" border="0" alt=" " width="1" height="1">

   The above is what I'm trying to put in block quotes, but when I save the post, it comes out as

   <img src="images/pixel.gif" mce_src="images/pixel.gif" border="0" alt=" " width="1" height="1">

   Why is it messing up like that, and is there a way around?

   and the more I think about it, the more difficult it is to place code inside a post, even with the code tag.
   For example, i can't post
   SetEnvIf Request_URI "^(/403.*\.htm¦/robots\.txt)$" allowsome
   <Files *>
   order deny,allow
   deny from env=getout
   allow from env=allowsome
   </Files>
   without loosing the
   SetEnvIf Request_URI "^(/403.*\.htm¦/robots\.txt)$" allowsome
   portion... Any ideas on this?
