• Good day, just wanted to say I love your plugin. But wanted to know if I can disable the maps on any page of my choice e.g the homepage or the widget area. The directory site I’m building is very small and only covers one location so I don’t see the point of having a map except where necessary. It’s a restaurant listing and takeout site. See (hellofood.com, justeat.com, hungryhouse.com) something of the nature that is the way their listing look. They map shows up on my homepage and I don’t like that. Please help.

  • The map on the home page is just inside a widget area, so you can easily remove it 🙂

Thanks for the quick response, shows dedication. Was able to figure it out thanks to your help. Just need to find out one more thing, if i make css changes will they get over written when the plugin is updated? and if so, is there a way to back up those css changes?. And Just a note, i think the plugin doesn’t display correctly (colors are a bit funny and plugin generally acts shaky with the theme ) with vantage theme: See

    because that’s my default theme.

Thanks again for the good response.

    Hi,

if you add your css changes in GeoDirectory >> Design >> script >> custom css, they will not be overwritten.

If you modify any of the plugin files directly, you will always lose changes after updates.

The shaky thing about pictures with firefox should have been fixed with today’s update. It was a known bug.

Mkaing a plugin that works perfectly with the thosands of themes out there is practically impossible. Some css tweaks may always be required.

    Thanks
