[resolved] How To Delete Database of Deleted Sites (8 posts)

    Hi,
My client initially asked me for a multi-site with around 30+ sites in it. When i created 30+ sites, the client came up with a new idea which consists of only 12 multisites, which means i have to delete 18 of them, which i did from the WordPress Backend.
Now when i have deleted those 18 sites, i can still see their tables in the database of phpMyAdmin. Is there any way to delete only those tables whose sites are deleted, i know i can delete them manually, but is there any automated/safer way to do that, to avoid any human error of unintentionally deleting a live site which may cause a site crash.
    Thanks,
    Nasir

  2. How did you delete them from the backend?

If you chose the 'delete' option, it's supposed to clean the tables. Do these sites still show up in the wp-admin/network/sites.php page?

No, They don't appear anymore in wp-admin/network/sites.php.

Does it mean there is no Database of them ??

  4. Not sure what that last sentence means...

Are you sure their tables still exist? That they're not another site's?

You should be able to see all the sites and their IDs in the wp_sites table. There is a possibility your SQL ID doesn't have delete permissions, mind you, but that's pretty rare.

There is only one site (which is the main site) in wp_site tables...
but in wp_blogs, there are 44 tables which means all my sites are in wp_blogs...

What is the difference between both of them?
And how can i get rid of deleted blogs/sites.
    Thanks

  6. but in wp_blogs, there are 44 tables which means all my sites are in wp_blogs...

So there's no wp_41_posts going on?
