   I let a blog lay fallow for a couple of years with only 1 junk entry and I'd like to begin using it now. There are over 3,800 spam comments going back to early 2006 I need to get rid of. WP admin section only allows access to 20 at a time and I can't tell WP to NOT show comments over a certain age.

   How do I sort this out?

   Do you have a spam plugin (like Akismet) installed on that blog?

   No I don't but I'll take care of that as I build the new one. Just have to get rid of those 3800 that are there now.

   Sorted it out. Went to phpAdmin and 'emptied' the comments database. Solved my problem and I can begin setting it up the way I want without all the special 'offers'. I have closed comments for now.
