   Hi guys,

   I've been trying to create a floating horizontal share and search bar for some time and i finally succeeded as can be seen at PatchworkOfTips.com

   Now my problem is that I ould like the bar to only appear after the user has scrolled down like 200px of the web page.

   I know this would require jQuery or Javascript but I'm lost with regards to how to implement this.

   Can anyone of you help?

   @noahjonah: thanks for the tip man. Unfortunately I don't understand a thing of javacript or jquery and how to implement those tricks.

   Would you be able to give me tips with regards to what to copy and paste where?

   The div code for the sharebar looks like <div id="search_bar"></div> and it's currently located in my footer.php
