   I have recently installed the theme THAT Music at http://exodicaclothingco.com/ when i log into the WP dashboard and select editor it tells me "sorry that file cannot be edited" is this theme totally uncustomizable or am i doing it wrong. Pls help

   usually its a permissions issue. May have to change permissions using ftp

   so instead of editing it through the WP website i may have to do it directly through FTP?

   some hosts require chmod of 666 to edit theme files in the editor

   not necessarily. You just may have to change the permissions of your themes folder through ftp. Then you should be able to edit through WP

   if i change it through FTP i would change it to 777 right?

   I don't think it's good to leave stuff at 777, but I'm not too up on permissions.

   i guess 666 will do its such a stigmatic number though. thanks guys i REALLY appreciate the help

   let me be clear here
   neither 666 or 777 is secure in my opinion
   these should be temporary only
   really if your server doesn't allow editing files at 644 and folders at 755, it would be easier to ftp files to desktop - modify - and ftp back to site.
