How to customize social bookmarking?

    About a week ago I downloaded AddThis for social bookmarking. I like the way the icons look at the end of my blog posts. And like all the choices AddThis offers.

    My problem is when I click on the link to go to Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter…the three main social media sites I’m using…there’s no text being grabbed from my blog posts. It’s just grabbing the blog title and inserting a very long URL.

    Is there any way I customize this? I’d like to have some teaser copy inserted when these social media buttons are selected. And I’d also like to select an image or choices of images for display on Facebook and LinkedIn. No images are being used at all right now.

    Or is there a different plugin or method I should be using to do this?
