Hello, I was wondering if anybody can suggest how to customize an RSS feed in the latest WordPress version. In my case, I'd like to add a customized paragraph and some custom fields to each post in the feed.

I opened up wp-rss2.php but it appears to redirect now. I googled around but couldn't find anything that seemed to help.

    Thanks!

Did you find any answers on this topic? I've been trying to change the excerpt from "more" to something like "read more at site.com" with a link back to the site.

I discovered the feeds are created by these files within the wp-includes folder:

    - feed-atom.php
    - feed-rdf.php
    - feed-rss.php
    - feed-rss2.php
    - feed.php

Of course any changes to these files will be overwritten on an update, but that's where they are (for the curious).
