If a user fails to input email address or name on the Comments form, they see a page with the WordPress logo and this message:

Error: please fill the required fields (name, email).

Is there any want to not show that and instead show some sort of error within my blog template?

    tks!

ha! Great! Thank you--google must not have indexed it by then :)

yes, this is a bit of hacking, but pretty straightforward.

Wait, I marked this "resolved" a few months ago but now with the new version of WP2.5 I need to make it unresolved... and the link above has its thread closed so I can't address the issue there.

Does anyone have the fix mentioned in http://wordpress.org/support/topic/109477?replies=6#post-660233 working? Or is there a simple plugin? I tried hacking the functions.php but it doesn't work correctly -- and the BEST solution would be to have a plugin that didn't involve messing with the beautiful code.
