   Is it possible to create recurring posts?
   I would like to post items that appear annually on same date.
   ie: always on 10 Jan, irrespective of the year.

   Unfortunately there isn't a way to create this. You can schedule posts in advance, but to create an indefinite recurring posts might have to be done in a round about fashion.

   Some calendar plugins create posts for events on the calendar, so with the right calendar plugin that also features recurring events, your end result would yield recurring posts.

   I haven't tested nor know of any specific plugins, but this may give you direction in finding a solution...
