    Hello friends,

I need your help. I am somehow new to wordpress. I want to create a website using wordpress. I would like to have several pages like about us, contact, blog, news. I want the “blog” and “news” pages to contain multiple posts. I know how to make for example the “blog” page a post page. But I don’t know how can I turn another(second one) page into a post page?

So please help me solve this problem, of course if there is a solution 🙂

  • If your theme support custom menus, Admin > Appearance > Custom Menus, you can easy add posts to categories “Blog”,”News” and add menu items by category, then set a static page as the home page?

    Which theme are you using?

    Hi,

    thanks for your quick reply.

I am using this theme, here is the demo http://themepix.com/demo/?themedemo=WebNews

I can’t send you the my website, as it is not visible online yet.
I also want blog and news not to be visible as category pages. I tried the way you said. I added the categories named :blog”, “news” to the custom menu named “Home”. They appear like pages, but still remain and show as category pages too. I don’t know if I have done something in a wrong way.

Hope I am clear in explaining what I want exactly.

    Thanks in advance 🙂

They would be category pages, but you would remove any category lists widgets, in Admin > Appearance > Widgets, add widgets if there are none, or remove the Categories widget.

Then you have full control over how you show the “Blog” and “News” posts in category pages.

You could also post your question in the Themes Forum and check out if the theme has a built in “Page of Posts” template.
