• I had successfully downloaded WP on my mac using MAMP, Now when I send out a link to my posts, people aren’t able to open it because the link is to my localhost where i originally downloaded WordPress.
How can I successfully change the site address URL to be different from the directory where I installed WP?

I tried following the example to move WP into its own directory but it didn’t work for me.

Can someone guide me to the necessary steeps to move WP to its own directory with examples if possible?

    Thanks and happy holidays!

Thank you for your prompt replied!

I’m not sure how to verify if my machine is publically accessible, but I think the problem is on the settings because i get an error message when trying to view or visit my own blogs.

    Thanks

If you want other people to be able to view your site, you’ll probably need to purchase some hosting & a domain name and install WordPress on that remote server.
