How to create a role to allow edit access only to FAQ (7 posts)

    I need to create a role that will let the user only access and change the FAQs.

    I also need to create another role to only let the user upload documents and use the Tools -> WP-Table reloaded to create an entry for the document uploaded.

    We would like users from different departments to be able to update their own FAQs w/o having access to any other part of wordpress.
    Along the same line, we would like users from different departments to be able to upload their own documents, like job vacancies, calendars etc. w/o having access to any other part of wordpress.

    I am new to wordpress, any hints/tips/links would be greatly appreciated.

    Try WordPress Multisite

    Each department gets its own subsite. Much cleaner.

    The capsman plugin gives a GUI for creating roles and capabilities.

    But this still might not fit your needs exactly, unless the other plugins you want to control access to have their own capabilities, or map well onto the core set.
