   I have advanced excerpt installed and need a custom excerpt.

   yet...I can't find the steps for where to put the custom excerpt. Is it a custom variable? What should the variable be called?

   I'd like to write my own short paragraph and have that serve as the excerpt.

   WordPress has the functionality builtin to later version of wordpress.
   Excerpt
   There is a plugin makes allows bulk editing easier.
