How to correct the url – unable to get into wp-admin

    After a failed attempt to follow codex to move my site from one sub directory to another one, I cannot get into my admin page.

    I set the admin/settings/general site url to the new location. When I realized it was not going to work, I moved the files back to the original location. I can see the site at the original location, but I get a 404 error and cannot get to the admin page.

    Can someone help me?

    You should change the site url from the database.

    In you database, table wp_options check for site_url and home_url.

    you can change from there
