I have been looking into getting the importer working with WPMU.
What you changed will probably not work. $wpdb->postmeta is a variable, and I don't think there is a variable for $wpdb->wp_1_postmeta. I would try just removing that area and replacing it with 'wp_1_postmeta'. That should work.
Let me know your findings.
Question: can I use old podpress versions (1.*) after I perform import (using 2 beta)? What is minumum required version wich is compatible with current DB format?
And where I can send bug reports and patches?
Just the current version of podPress is supported. Do whatever podPress needs to upgrade to the latest version, then run the podPress importer.
If you have found bugs or have any patches, they can be emailed to ron [at] cavemonkey50 [.] com

Forgive me if this is completely ignorant sounding, but I'm trying to switch from podpress to podcasting and I've been reading the thread about the automatic converter, but I'm lost on how to find it... I've downloaded the beta from that thread and I'm using WP 2.7. I don't see Manage anywhere, I remember there used to be a general manage tab on older versions of WP (right?). Any help would be greatly appreciated as I think podpress is somehow the culprit behind my podcast being removed from iTunes...
Thanks in advance,
