• Hello,

My website installation is quite old, more than 2 and a half years and I have been updating the WP with every respective update.

However off late I find my website is running very slow and many times I get code warrnings (on admin panel) along with various other problem also.

I wish to clean up my code (plug in / theme and any other manual mods done by me).

I wish to keep my post data and just couple of essential plug in and its database foot prints and delete / clean everything else.

(the URLs / WP super chache plugin)

Can anyone suggest the process about it ?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problems. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

There is no such specific problem to troubleshot with.

Website performance is pretty slow. Secondly often here and there I get code error.

I have done few things as per your advice, I have switched to a very simple theme and tried to delete unwanted plugins via WP admin panel, however I am unable to delete plugins since its showing random errors on top of the admin page (php codes)

    🙁
