    Hello,

I have just installed WordPress to my host server. I selected a free theme from the WordPress Free Themes Directory. I downloaded the theme to my desktop, extracted, then uploaded to WordPress/Content/Themes via FileZilla. When I login to WordPress I see the Classic, Defalt and new theme indicated. When I select the new theme and click 'View Site', I see a white screen with the following code.
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"

I am not quite sure what to do in order to make the new theme appear. Please advise.

    Thank you,
    shemrah

    Hey shemrah

Did you put your theme in a folder? example, your theme's name is MyTheme, so in your wp-content < themes < myTheme. So in themes folder, you must see, Default, Classic and myTheme.
Also try to switch back to the default themes.
Good luck with your new wordpress site :)
