[resolved] How to change the "website" text that shows up (3 posts)

    Hi. I'm kind of new to this, so I'm sorry if my question is too stupid :)

    I was trying to change the "website" text that shows up under the authors' names, so that it would be more adequated to the purpose of the page (and the language, Portuguese). I opened the wp-content/plugins/people-page/people-page.php file and found two places (lines 84 and 124) where the text was showing between brackets. I replaced it by the new word and the page (http://www.fe.unicamp.br/focus/?page_id=205) started to show the following error message:

    "Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /export/home/sftp/focus/site/wp-content/plugins/people-page/people-page.php on line 39"

    So I went back to the file and changed it back to the word "website" but it didn't come back to normal.

    How do I change this text without getting errors? Is that possible? And how do I make it normal again if it isn't?

    Thank you very much! :)

    Hi marimoscou.

    I'd recommend replacing your people-page.php with an unedited version of the file.

    If you just want to change the word "website" you actually need to edit lines 85 & 125. You're looking for the word "website" in between the > and < symbols (which are the end of a simple anchor tag):

    class="website">website</a>

    class="website">YourText</a>

    Note that if you update the plugin at a later date it will overwrite your changes.

    I'm sorry I didn't internationalize this plugin. Perhaps I'll do so in a future version.
