• Hi everyone, I have just managed to change my posts to reverse (chronological) order. I’m using theme twenty eleven and my blog is http://johnbentleyswriting.com
The problem I now have is that when you scroll to the bottom of a post the button at the end with the arrow says “older”, when it needs to say “newer” (because of the reverse order change I made). Similarly, the two “older” and “newer” arrows at the top of the page need to be changed.

I can’t see this option anywhere on the dashboard – does anyone know how I can change “older” to “newer” and vice versa?

    Thanks.

  • First, you should be using a Child theme. If you do not, any changes you make will be lost the next time the theme is upgraded.

The links are created by the function ‘twentyeleven_content_nav()’ in functions.php. When you create your child theme, you can put your own function in its functions.php to override the parent one. Just copy the function from Twenty Eleven functions.php, paste it into the child functions.php and reverse the parameters passed to next/previous_posts_link().
