   What happens to the amount deducted of an existing subscriber, if in the future, membership fees are increased?

   Do existing members stay at the old fee
   or
   Does the increased membership fee get deducted at next billing cycle?

   The existing users are grandfathered into the old fee.

   The different payment APIs generally don't allow you to increase the fees on a subscription after they have been setup.

   To get them on the new fee, you will need them to checkout for their current level again. Some people do this by offering an incentive to re-register or by cancelling users accounts on a specific date if they don't re-register.
