Im aware that I can change the font inside of the form in the CSS file. But I cant seem to find where to change some of the default message fonts? Like: 1 – “*required fields” label on the bottom of the form or 2 – label “forgot password” or 3 – label “You are logged in as admin”. They all have this Saint Serif or Times new roman Font. Its too old for my theme. Where do I edit that? My theme doesnt come with this type of font because of very modern theme.

I forgot to add that when I use your shortcode like: [wp-members status=”in”][/wp-members] – Whatever I put inside (the content) of the shortcode – it has the same basic formating and it doesnt follow the theme fonts. Same crappy font as my original post here. What file in your theme controls that font. Btw – what font is that? I just want normal ARIAL.

I’m going to have to guess that by “Saint Serif” you actually meant serif, since arial is a sans serif font. Times and others like it are Serif.

Let’s get you started on the right track. First, I don’t know what stylesheet for the plugin you are using, so I’ll assume that this is a new install with the most recent plugin version 2.8.9 which would mean that it is the 2014 theme. That particular stylesheet for the plugin has no font definitions, so it would pick up whatever default font your theme specifies and if your theme does not specify a default font, then it would be browser default. My guess is that your theme does not specify Arial font for the <body> tag.

There are a total of six stylesheets packaged with the plugin that you can choose from (you can also specify your own). A couple of them do specify a font in specific places, but only in minimal places. But interestingly, I don’t think any of them specify a “crappy” serif font.

There are several ways to approach this. First – you could take a look at your theme as mentioned earlier. You could also try the other stylesheets packaged with the plugin. Alternatively, your best option would be to create a custom stylesheet.

There is more information on customizing the forms in the documentation.

Well, I tried to modify one of your stylesheet (default one or the 2011). Let me show you by screen shot. Red arrows point to the font I want to change. As you see – fonts inside of the form are Arial style. But this one is different, sort of old Newspaper style looking. I dont know the name. Just look at the arrows and let me know where to change that font if you can.
If I use your tags on a page – same font appears but I can change it by WYSYWIG on the menu of the page content. But here I just dont know where to look.

Screenshots don’t help all that much because I can’t see what’s really going on. But based on what you are showing, my guess is that you somehow have managed to wrap the shortcode with the preformatted <pre> html tag in the page/post visual editor (or <code> in the text view).

If that’s that case, anything NOT specifically defined is going to inherit whatever your theme has defined for <pre>, and if no definition exists, then the browser default. That looks like Courier, which is what is common for <pre>.

Remove those tags from your post and you should be fine.
