How to change “page order”

Hello. My WP site is listing my pages alphabetically, but that’s now how I want to list them. The theme template uses wp_list_pages(‘title_li=&depth=1’); and the documentation says that wp_list_pages sorts by “page order” and then title. Ok, great, so if I change the “page order” I can get the order I want, yes? But how do I do it? I would like to learn how to change the page order so I can get my pags to display in the order I want.
