I have recently taken on a wordpress.com blog set up by someone else. I need to make a change to the header that appears on each page, but can't figure out how to do it. Thanks!

I don't have a wordpress.com blog, but I don't think you can edit themes there. However, there may be themes available that allow you to upload a custom header...just look through them and see if any of them allow custom headers.
