    Vista Ultimate 64 bit / WordPress v2.5.1

I'm new to WordPress, and I'm in 'Manage', 'Write Post', 'Visual' mode, wanting to to change text size and style. Don't find a way, but I know the method is right there staring at me. Help appreciated - Thanks for your help, IM

Click the button on the very rightmost side of the bar. The one that gives a tooltip of "show the kitchen sink" or similar.

Otto42 - Thanks! I had discovered the 'kitchen sink', but I don't see the ability to choose font sizes, like 10, 12, 14 and so on. I do see Heading formats, and a couple other styles? - IM

Hi there, you may want to take a look at this plugin, I've just started using it, and it adds many features to the visual editor.

    hope it helps.

This is HTML code. You shouldn't be doing "font sizes" like that. That is bad for SEO.

If you want to change the size of the displayed text, you should be editing your stylesheet.

Hi there, I totally agree, but I was merely trying to answer the original question from imageman,eg, using visual editor and changing font size is possible using the tinymce advanced plugin. There are several buttons which can be dragged to the toolbar, I use it for tables because the standard version is very poor for layout. As for style, no, you are right, only possible with stylesheets, not from a visual editor like this.Using the"show the kitchen sink" button with this plugin makes life a great deal easier. Even though I have no intention of putting 36pt text in any posts LOL
Personally I had to work with html for too long to even think about using the heading formats h1 h2 h3 etc.
Anyhow, before this turns into a book, i'm off to bed.
    good luck.
    Mike.
