[resolved] How to change DNS (5 posts)

I recently purchased a domain name from WordPress. The original site was a WordPress.com site and the new one is with WordPress.org.

My site is hosted by Laughing Squid. Laughing Squid did the WordPress install for me and then sent me the following message.

In order for Laughing Squid to host a domain, the primary and secondary name servers associated with the domain record need to be changed to the following (you will need to contact your domain registrar regarding their process for updating your domain record):

    Primary Nameserver: dns1.stabletransit.com

    Secondary Nameserver: dns2.stabletransit.com

I have no idea how to do this.

Right now, I can access the site via the test link, but when I type in the URL I get re-directed back to the old WordPress.COM site.

    Any suggestions?

    Hello,

In order to host with us you'll need to update your nameservers with your domain registrar. If you have any other questions I recommend opening a help desk ticket for further assistance:

    Thanks!

Thanks, everyone! I contacted wordpress.com and was able to get the issue fixed. I appreciate all of the help, though!

    Cheers,

    Robert
