How to change category sort order in Permalinks (4 posts)

I want a product to appear in 2 categories:
    1) Mens T-shirts
    2) Beats & Swing

The problem is with the permalinks. I want the permalink to be:
    http://www.vivid-originals.co.uk/mens-t-shirts/product

However, with the current settings I get this:
    http://www.vivid-originals.co.uk/beats-swing/product

It seems to sorting by category name, alphabetically. If I change my actual category name from "Beats & Swing" to "Z Beats & Swing", then the permalink becomes "Mens-T-Shirts" instead.
    http://www.vivid-originals.co.uk/mens-t-shirts/product

But I don't want to append category names with Zs to get things organised!

How do I change the sort order in the permalinks? Any help from a more experienced member would be much appreciated.... :)

I am using /%product_cat% as the permalink base in the permalink settings.

(WordPress 3.5.1, wootique theme and woocommerce plugin)

    Thanks in advance
    Ben

    I'm having the same problem!

Have you managed to solve this? I believe so that it is something to do with alphabetical order.

    Regards

    Hi Paul

I haven't managed to solve it exactly, but I have discovered something useful...

If you put a product in two categories then BOTH permalinks will work. E.g.

    http://www.yourwebsite.com/food/bananas
    http://www.yourwebsite.com/fruit/bananas

Both the above links to the product will work, even though only one displays on the edit product page.

That is a bit of a workaround I guess, but I hope that helps!

    :) Ben
