How to Center Twenty Fourteen Website theme?

    Hello I was reading that your have to insert this code into the child theme:

    #page {
    margin-left: auto;
    margin-right: auto;
    }

    But I do not know what a child theme is? Where do I find it? Can someone explain or screen shot is for me. thank you. I am new.
