[resolved] How to brand sub-sites? (9 posts)

Hi. For all my sub-sites I want to have consistent mother-site branding - maybe a thin banner that runs across the top of all sub-site pages with the mother-site logo and link back. Off the top of my head I guess I could add code into all the header.php files of all the sub-site themes but I suppose there is a risk of overwrite on theme update. Is there a plugin or another way of achieving this? Thanks

  2. Have a function that hooks into the header :)

Hmm. Is this network-wide menu a function that hooks into the header then? I'm a bit confused. How will that let me pull through a logo?

And I said use a function that hooks INTO the header (i.e. rather than edit the themes directly)

Can you explain in more detail what I would need to do please.

  6. How about this one: http://wpmututorials.com/plugins/how-to-hook-into-the-footer/

The hook for the header is wp_head()

Thanks. Do you think this would do the job?

  8. I don't think so, only because it's not Sitewide.

Though it could be extended to it, I suppose...

I have done it using the wp_head hook. Thank you
