How to block someone?

    I’ve been harassed by a particular person that does not live in the same state as me. As I was told by the Police Department this person is creating a misdemeanor herself. She has been harassing me since day one through the internet, and I’m just wondering is there a way to block all these autobypass and proxy sites? She claims my sites aren’t all that impressive to look at yet, she keeps finding ways to bypass the ban I have on her to get to my site. Is there a way to block these autobypass and proxy sites? Thank you

    Not easily. The whole reason people use them is to circumvent those sorts of blocks, and if you block them all (which you can’t, they’re like ants), you may block legit users.

    Does she have any standard phrases she uses?

    Akismet is a good way to block any comments from that user being displayed on your site. You could also try a plugin like WP-Ban that will block that user’s IP, domain, etc from accessing your site. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-ban/

    If the person is using a proxy, there’s no way that WP-Ban can help :/ The IP keeps changing.

    ipstenu, Has the best solution here go back over her posts and look for similar text, Then take it from there
