How to best present pdf docs in wp sites

Hi, have been trying different options to present art catalogues in pdf format on my wp sites.. uploading them in google drive and linking to the website as in http://www.waynebarker.net/catalogue-wayne-barker/ works, but images in pdf docs (especially fotos) are displayed poorly. Same issue with plugin Google doc embedder (poor image quality displayed..). I could upload them in the media library and present from there, but would that not slow down the website (pdf files from 2 to 12 mb..)?? Your assistance would be greaaatly appreciated… greetz from Vienna
