how to allow strangers/unregistered users to access normal posts (8 posts)

In our wordpress blog, we experience a strange thing.

If an unregistered user/stranger try to view a post it says

"You must be registered or logged in to view the post".
We have a category (for private posts) to allow only some registered users to access some posts.

Though posts are not included in that category, it shows the above strange message.

How to allow unregistered users/strangers to view normal posts?

  2. How did you make the category private? That's not default to WP.

I didn't do anything manually, it might be set by a plugin.

How to switch to default privileges for all roles?

Please help me to sort this out.

Have you tried deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

Yeah I tried by deactivating all plugins but the issue is not over.

Is there any way to reset all the roles in wordpress?

    or

It is possible to reset the capability of the default "Stranger" role?

My only problem is that the users in "Stranger" role are not able to view the public posts.

Unless you provide a link to a page demonstrating the problem, no one will be able to offer much in the way of assistance.
