Hi all,

sorry if this has been answered already, but I couldn’t find a solution yet.

I want to migrate my blog from wordpress.com to a self-hosted wordpress.org installation.
Importing the WXR file works fine, all content is there.

BUT: All URLs in my posts and pages which refer to my own blog still contain “http://<myblogname>.wordpress.com/” as WP seems to use absolute paths instead of relative ones.

Of course, I don’t like to manually edit all of my posts and pages. I checked for plugins, but couldn’t find anything which helps in this specific case (there is one which edits all URLs, but you habe to run it on the OLD blog installation which is not possible on WP.com).

My best idea currently is to create a magic SQL which does find-and-replace on wp_posts table, but I’m not sure yet how the query should look like.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Gunnar
