How to adjust my menu height?

Hello,
I changed my header image to make it bigger (height mainly). Now the menu is no longer where it should be (i.e the bottom og the header) but rather it is too high and not visible. I would like to know if the height of the horizontal menu in a wordpress theme can be adjusted and how?
