    Hi,

    http://yuilibrary.com/downloads/#yuicompressor

Download and install into a subdirectory, change the paths in W3TC.

    http://closure-compiler.googlecode.com/files/compiler-latest.zip

Download and install into a subdirectory, change the paths in W3TC.

    http://tidy.sourceforge.net/#binaries

Download and install into a subdirectory, change the paths in W3TC.

However the later i did not try so i did not had the time to check if this is working alright.

Keep in mind that there are issue's with the latest releases of W3TC, so probably nothing will work correctly for the moment. Keep an eye on the upcomming releases for fixes!

I know about the problems with actual version.
But, how should I install them? Is it an uncompress and done, or may I have to install on server? And where? What do you mean with "change the paths in W3TC"?

For the first 2 (closure & yui) there are binaries available. So yes, you can put them in a subdirectory of choice (in the root of your site, or in a path below if the http server is capable of accessing them).

You can change the paths, if you set the minify options in the general tab to Yui for example, then you can change the paths on the minify tab. Keep in mind that you need java for this (it will also display a field where you can insert the java executable (+path).

Not sure if this will work in shared hosting though, and if java is available there.

    Regards,

    Pascal

In W3TC you select the alternate minify compressors for js/css and save - then go the Minify settings page of W3TC - here you'll now be presented with fields to set the path to the scripts/binaries for these.

But you'll also need a JAVA bridge installed in your PHP (v5) - not usually there in a shared host environment and not easily installed in such.

Given the current minify issues with 0.9.2.1 I'd be curious if anyone has these alternate compressors working.

Ok, thanks. I'm on a cloud server, so no problem on installing additional component ;-)
