Dear friends, my present theme (Twenty Eleven) doesn't add sidebar to pages. I actually created a normal page with the content (test content) you see there, and in settings > reading, I set that page as the home page (http://oshohindi.net/), but as you can see, the alignment of text is not correct & sidebar is missing. So, how do i add the sidebar to it?

for pages, you can use the included 'Sidebar Template' under dashboard - pages - edit page - page attributes

or consider using a plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/twenty-eleven-theme-extensions/

if you want to do any customisations, do not edit the default theme Twenty Eleven directly, but create a child theme to work with: http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes
