How to Add Shade and Color to Menu

Sorry to have to bother you on a weekend,creating another post to avoid confusion.

In order to simply the page design, I would like to modify the Menu to allow a desired shade when hovering over a specific Page Title, and a solid color to stay on when the Page Title is selected.

In so doing, I can eliminate the redundancy of the default Page Title, which is being posted simultaneously under a different topic for your help.
