how to add header widgets !!! (12 posts)

    on WordPress there are only side bars widgets and bottom and footer,But there is no header widget I was trying to use a custom drop-down menu widget but failed coz there is no header widgets

    can any one tell me how to add the header widget ?

    In my admin page >> appearance >>> widgets >>> I only have primary and second, bottom and footer no more

    I don't found header or top side bar !!!

  4. Please read the article I gave above - the link is working fine for me. It shows you how to add additional widgetized areas to your theme.

    I think I'm lost ... I have checked both files based on the page you have gave it to me to edit function.php

    I think tutorial is old a bit or not compaitble with the new wordpress release I'v checked the /wordpress/wp-includes/function.php

    and the first code in the tutorial asked me to add under the existing one in the first step is not exist !!!

  8. You should be looking in your theme's folder for functions.php - not in wp-includes. It may be somewhere else in your theme folder depending how it's structured, but do not look outside your theme folder.

    Below is a copy of /wordpress/wp-content/themes/arras/funcations.php

    not exist too !!!

  10. Looks like your widgets are in a file within your theme called widgets.php
