• Hello!

I am making a site using Piano Black 1.5 theme and I would like to have a custom menu on top of the page. I just instlled WordPress 3.0 and found out you can make a custom menu with pages AND categories. So, I would like to replace the current menu of Piano Black 1.5 theme (that allows only pages or categories) with this new menu.

I can make a custom menu and add it to the sidebar as a widget but I would like to use the code of that new menu to replace the default one. Where could I copy that code from and where do I need to paste it?

    Never mind…
I stumbled upon a nice plug-in that does the job: “LJ Custom Menu Links”! I just had to recreate all the links with this plug-in, exclude Pages in the theme options and that’s it. I have a custom menu with both cagegories and pages. Job done!

After all I would like to have a custom 3.0 menu on top of my page that uses Piano-black.

But that theme doesn’t support menus. So, how can I add support for the menu and how can I implement it? I tried couple of methods but I always get some errors… help please.

Go to his homepage he has a new version

I tried the new version (i think it supports custom menus) but the page got all scrambled up when I activated theme…

I don’t have the nerves to build it up once again with this new theme or troubleshoot it…

I somehow managed to install the custom menu on the old piano theme but I can’t get the menus to have submenus…

You can see the page here: http://www.akrobata.info
(there’s a language selector on the sidebar – “Hrvatski” uses another instance of Piano-black theme and on that theme I can’t get submenus working.

Hey divljach – I just posted a tutorial on how to add Custom Menus to BuddyPress themes, but it’ll work with WordPress themes, too. The only thing you’ll have to do is change the CSS to match your site.
