How to Add an Empty Home Page (6 posts)

    I Want to have a Home page that doesn't show anything on it except the Featured Slider I'm currently using.

    I've setup a Static Page with an Empty Page as the Home Page BUT it still shows the Page Block bellow the Slider AND The Reply Box.

    So my Question is: How do I setup an Empty Home Page OR Remove the Empty Text + Reply Box from my Current Home Page?

    Website

    Thank-you

    on the top of your static page, put

    [ Moderator Note: Please post code or markup snippets between backticks or use the code button. ]

    <?php /* Template Name: My Home Page*/ ?>

    Then go to pages, Add new page named "Home page" or whatever, on the page's right side you will see a drop down name "Template". Select "My Home Page" and save the page.

    Then go to Settings -> Reading where you will find two radio buttons on the top.

    Select radio button which says "A Static Page" and from the "Front Page" drop down select "Home Page".

    Excuse my ignorance but where do I Paste the code?

    Do I have to create my own Static Page.php and upload it?

    Or do I paste it in an existing .php?

    For example, you can name the file like home.php.

    Then on the top, paste

    <?php /* Template Name: My Home Page*/ ?>

    and do the steps I mentioned before, any trouble ask me.
