You can switch to code/HTML view and paste in the code above.

When I do that and paste in the code, it shows as a empty box with a dreaded “red x” in the upper left corner.

Could it be the case that need to upload a higher/newer version of Adobe Flash in order to allow the video to display properly?

Can you please provide a link to a page or post where this is happening so I can have a look?

This is what it looks like when I use the code/html view to do a simple “copy and paste”:

Looks like your embed code is getting stripped out. This is all that’s in the code:

    <p><object width="476" height="274"><param name="movie" value="http://d.yimg.com/nl/yahoo%20sports/site/player.swf" /><param name="flashVars" value="vid=24579617" /></object></p>

Are you flipping back to the Visual editor before submitting the post? If you are, try not doing that. Stay in HTML view, paste in the code, then hit submit.

Is the video available on another service, like YouTube?

Yes, I was flipping back to the Visual editor before publishing. When I don’t do that the problem seems to go away. Thanks for your help.
