Hi, I'm not sure if I'm in the right place or if you're all laughing at me because I'm ridiculously inept at this, but I'm trying to figure out how to add a simple Subscribe button to my site.
Just "Subscribe" and that orange icon, nothing more.

many plugins may be able to help you, here's one for example that seems to have a bunch of icons
You could also hard code the icon anywhere into your theme if you want to venture that route
